Per Woodland company policy, due to the corona-virus, all tours and events at Woodland are canceled through July 31st. We hope to offer a limited number of tours in August and September. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Summer is the time to appreciate our nesting bird species and to be on the lookout for recently fledged and immature birds. Join nature guide Amanda Lawson, an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, for a mostly slow-paced walk through the grounds of Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum. You may walk a few hills, it will just depend on where the birds lead you, and then look for year-round residents and summer residents like Indigo Buntings, Chipping Sparrows, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and Eastern Phoebes. You may even see Woodland’s Red-tailed Hawks, Cooper’s Hawks or Pileated Woodpeckers. Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather.

Meet at the Eichelberger Plaza at the main gates of the cemetery. Parking is available both inside and outside the gates. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle if needed. Tours will launch rain or shine, except in the event of thunder or lightening.

Reservations are required to attend. Please click here to register for this tour or copy and paste this URL into your browser: bit.ly/WoodlandBirdWalk.
