Once known as Slidertown, South Park was a community project sponsored by John Patterson of NCR. Eventually South Park developed into a pleasant, garden-filled community where factory workers lived side-by-side with supervisors and Patterson’s right-hand men. South Park preserved the sense of a close-knit neighborhood whose residents co-operate to maintain the many neighborhood parks which give the district its special flavor.

The program is free and open to the public and will be held in the Wellington Community Room.
