Celebrate fall with this bird walk through Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum. Many of the brightly-colored birds that passed through in the spring have molted into their more low-key winter plumage’s, making some identifications a fun challenge. Your nature guide, Amanda Lawson, an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, will take you on a slow-paced walk through the grounds with the possibility of walking hills depending on where the birds lead her. You’ll also look for year-round residents and migratory birds like American Redstarts, Great Crested Flycatchers, Chimney Swifts and Cedar Waxwings. Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather.

Meet at the Eichelberger Plaza at the main gates of the cemetery. Parking is available both inside and outside the gates. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle if needed. Tours will launch rain or shine, except in the event of thunder or lightening.

Reservations are required to attend. Please click here to register for this tour or copy and paste this URL into your browser: bit.ly/WoodlandBirdWalk.
