Gravestone Preservation Workshop

Woodland is pleased to announce the return of our gravestone preservation workshop in July. The workshop will be conducted by gravestone preservation expert Misti Spillman, who is the manager of preservation at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum. The workshop will focus on gravestone cleaning and preservation.

This workshop will be conducted at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2025. Cost is $50 per person for the Beginners class.

You will receive hands on, one-on-one and group instruction on gravestone preservation techniques including resetting and proper cleaning methods. You will also receive a gravestone cleaning starter kit that will include all the tools needed for the day.

The entire workshop will be spent in the cemetery. A break for lunch will be provided. Please feel free to bring a lunch or visit any of the restaurants on Brown Street.

This class is limited to 25 people.
