DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy music in our Historic Tiffany Chapel! \nWoodland is pleased to announce our upcoming concert series this fall with Viva La Strings.  Each concert will consist of a string quartet and we will be exploring the best of classical music throughout the series. There will be two concerts in September and one in October.  Each concert will last 2 hours with an intermission and Refreshments will be provided. Due to the size of the chapel\, seating is limited so reserve your tickets today! \nPrice $40 a ticket (for each concert) \nDate: October 11th at 2pm \nThe Richardsonian Romanesque gateway\, chapel\, and office completed in 1887 are on the National Register of Historic Places with the chapel featuring one of the finest original Tiffany windows in the country. It also houses 16 other Tiffany windows and a hand-cut Tiffany mosaic floor. \nThe restoration of the Chapel and Administration Building was brought to completion in 2024. The project involved the replacement of over 700 red sandstones and unveiled previously lost details of the Chapel\, reinstating its historical grandeur and architectural integrity for future generations to appreciate. The interior of the Chapel was completely restored including the 17 Tiffany windows and Tiffany mosaic tile floor. \nAll proceeds support the Woodland Arboretum Foundation which focuses on the restoration\, preservation\, horticultural and educational projects needed to keep Woodland a cultural resource for Dayton and Ohio. \nParking is available both inside and outside the gates. \n*If you would like to purchase tickets for all three concerts at a discount price\, please contact us at 937-228-3221.

These stories and more are told in this walk to the grave sites of a victim or perpetrator of a crime. Please note that the tour relates the actual accounts of murders that took place in Dayton. SUMMARY:Almost Winter Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:We’ll finish our bird walks for the year looking for year-round residents\, and winter birds like White-throated Sparrow and Brown Creeper. Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather. The walk is slow-paced\, and mostly stays on the road surface\, but sometimes does venture “off-trail” into the grass. All ages welcome. The tour will meet at the Eichelberger Plaza at the main gates of the cemetery. \nYour nature guide will be Amanda Lawson\, an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist. \nAll tours require a reservation and there is a suggested $5 donation.
